(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING) ORDER 2017

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order To temporarily close HIGH STREET LEIGH from its junction with Belton Bridge to the Dead End; and Prohibit Waiting, loading and Unloading outside No 58 and the Crooked Billet Public House.

To temporarily close HIGH STREET LEIGH from its junction with Belton Bridge to the Dead End; and Prohibit Waiting, loading and Unloading outside No 58 and the Crooked Billet Public House.

The closure is scheduled to be carried out on 9th and 10th October

from 07.30 hours to 20.00 hours each day or where appropriate

signs are showing and weather permitting.

Access for Emergency vehicles will be maintained where possible

Access to properties and businesses will be outside these times

The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2017 and may

continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been

completed, whichever is the earlier

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce

whilst sewer mains works take place.

The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time

and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by

the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL

Any veh icle wa it ing in contravent ion of any restrict ion/proh ib ition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
