(Church Road, Hockley)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road,
Hockley in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Folly Lane
for a distance of approximately 401m in a northerly direction. The
closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2018 for 5 days, or
where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000676051 – Cadent Gas).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while laying new
domestic service works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via High Road, Hockley Road, Hambro
Hill, Hullbridge Road, Lower Road, Coventry Hill and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 29th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Clarence Road, Benfleet)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Clarence
Road, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with
Thundersley Park Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a
northeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on
17th April 2018 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(EC30034785687 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may
vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed
on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the
public and workforce while electric cabling works are undertaken
by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Thundersley Park Road, Avondale
Road, Clarence Road North and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 29th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Barling Road, Great Wakering)
(Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit that
length of Barling Road, Great Wakering in the District of Rochford,
from a point approximately 225m southwest of its junction with
Shopland Road for a distance of approximately 257m in a
southwesterly direction. The speed limit reduction is scheduled to
commence on 9th April 2018 for 64 days, or where stated on a valid
permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works
(AZ0071000696341 – Cadent Gas) with appropriate signs showing
and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The speed limit reduction
is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main
replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
The Order came into effect on 29th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway)
(No.2) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District
of Rochford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both
sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration
of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed
indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)
(County of Essex) (District of Rochford) Consolidation Order 2006”
will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Stopping
at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting
restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions
and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and
Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month
period from 29th March 2018, exact dates will be specified on
http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each
phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for
emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location
and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/
leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
