Having grown-up in Essex, I was already very familiar with both the Braintree & Witham Times, and Colchester Gazette publications. When I discovered there was an opportunity to contribute to these papers, I was inspired to apply. Prior to joining Newsquest, I had gained experience in sales, administration and achieved a degree in Business Management. I am now in my tenth month with Newsquest and thrive on the variety which each day presents - working with highly motivated and always friendly colleagues, across all departments. Although I have been with Newsquest for just a short period of time, I feel at home and have already been given several opportunities to take-on additional responsibilities and engage in a variety of training courses, both internally and externally.
My role as an Administration Assistant within the Human Resources department emcompassess everything from monitoring absence levels, to preparing contracts, co-ordinating the recruitment process, administering employee holiday bookings, assisting employees with a variety of HR related queries, and much, much more. No two days are alike and each day presents it own unique set of challenges. |
