RENOWNED Southend reggae band Slim Pickings will be among the artists performing across a day's programme set up to celebrate the opening of a new boutique in Westcliff this Saturday.
Joining the line-up are also spoken word artists Cherry Scott and Cat Howe, with Chris Davison and Owen Williams confirmed to perform acoustic sets.
More acts are to be announced.
The boutique is called Green Elephant, located at the top of Ramuz Drive off London Road, Westcliff and will be selling "hippy clothing for adults and children plus homewares which are sourced from India, Thailand and Nepal".
Proprietor Jenna Thomas says the special launch party is open to all, and a a "free vegan-friendly glass of Prosecco" will be given on arrival.
The opening is at 9am with the music and poetry kicking off from noon and continuing throughout the afternoon until 6pm.
