If you’re looking for an autumnal British mystery to get stuck into, then Unforgotten might just be the thing to watch while snug on the sofa.
We’re already anticipating the Goggleboxers’ reactions to the new ITV crime drama which started with the discovery of a skeleton in an old building and sees Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar unite as the detectives investigating a cold case murder with help from their forensic colleagues.
At first all they had to go on was a bag of bones but they soon discovered a preserved key which leads to a wreck of a classic car and, hey presto! a diary which might reveal something about the victim and his killer/s.
But rewind to the beginning…
People were loving the main casting
And were aware that there was a big cast
Which makes it harder to work out who’s responsible for the remains found in Arlington Crescent when builders were looking for a gas supply.
People have their suspicions
And conspiracies
But it wasn’t until the very end we even knew who was dead
Episode 1 was very much about setting the scene
But now we have a whodunnit on our hands stretching back almost 40 years
And we’ve got to wait a whole week for episode two to be broadcast
Oh, and if you didn’t already have enough reason to get up to speed, there’s a vicar singing to One Direction.
