Jonathan Ross showed a clip from Sacha Baron Cohen’s new film Grimsby and shocked just about everyone.
The movie tells the story of reformed football hooligan Norman “Nobby” Grimsby (Sacha) who is forced to go on the run with his brother – a suave secret agent played by Kingsman star Mark Strong.
In the clip, described by an insider as “outrageous”, Nobby is depicted in extreme circumstances.
The segment in question is embargoed for broadcast until the film’s UK release on February 24.
Viewers couldn’t see the clip, just the facial expressions of the audience and guests, including comedian Romesh Ranganathan, US star Amy Poehler and Baftas host Stephen Fry, who said: “I thought I was going to have an asthma attack!”
Everyone was in hysterics. Too bad we couldn’t see why!
Sacha’s sit-down with Wossy was his first UK interview out of character in 18 years. And viewers posting on Twitter loved what they saw.
