The Great British Bake Off comes to an end tonight as the grand final – between Candice Brown, Jane Beedle and Andrew Smyth – takes place.
But the evening before the big night, let’s call it Bake Off Eve, the previous contestants got together for one big knees-up of a dinner and it looked like the most fun ever.
Benjamina Ebuehi and Selasi Gbormittah were absent, regrettably, from the civilised soiree, but everyone else was correct and present and tweeting many pictures.
They were all there: Lee Banfield, Louise Williams, Val Stones, Michael Georgiou, Tom Gilliford, Rav Bansal, Kate Barmby and, of course, finalists Andrew, Jane and Candice.
They’re incredibly pally with each other, having made friends for life, as Andrew proved tweeting: “Great pre-final night with the #gbbo crew, genuinely such a kind, hilarious bunch.”
Val added: “Having dinner with friends it is so natural and lovely to sit here and listen in to their laughter and chatter.”
Rav, who left the competition after the particularly tricky Botanical Week, shared many of the group’s pictures and selfies, including our favourite, with Val.
He also shared a snap of himself with Benjamina and Selasi, just to make sure they knew they were missed.
And everybody’s favourite cool customer Selasi did hit Twitter the morning after the events to post a group shot.
Seriously, this lot are the new cast of Friends, to be honest.
Sadly, neither judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood nor presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc were present for the evening.
And we were still getting over the amazingness that was Selasi’s road trip to visit Val.
Our hearts are bursting.
