THIS Friday sees the official release of a brand new album - titled Skeletons - by 90?s grunge influenced three piece High/Low.

The eight track mini album is released on 10” vinyl, CD and download, through Instereo Records.

It's been a couple of years since the band - lead singer and guitarist Steve Weston, bassist Lee Yates and drummer Dave Pankhurst - put out anything, as they took a hiatus to work on other projects.

Skeletons was recorded in three days in their lo-fi studio they said. The record sees the band return to their earlier raw sound, with "fuzzy, summery" tracks like My Bones and Get Riffin'.

Steve explains: "We recorded it in May this year and produced it ourselves in our own studio in just three days, so the recording is raw and spontaneous.

“We wanted to release something short and direct before we worked on our next full length album, and after recording the two tracks for our Record Store Day release, that set the direction.

"It?s nice to not pick apart every bass drum hit, or every vocal note, and worry about it being on the grid. If it feels right, it?s right!

"The songs we chose for this mini album are short and fun, with most tracks around the two minute mark, it squeezes in fuzzy riffs and summery melodies together with the High/Low sound."
