Faulty microwave sparks kitchen fire in Leigh
A FAULTY microwave sparked a kitchen fire in Leigh on yesterday evening.
Firefighters from Leigh and Southend stations attended after receiving a call to Bridgwater Drive shortly before 6.30pm.
Upon arrival crews reporter the fire was already out but the kitchen was filled with smoke.
The kitchen was made safe and the incident was dealt with by 6.55pm.
There were no casualties and minimal smoke damage to the kitchen.
