A CAR hit a schoolboy in Benfleet.
The schoolboy was hit by a Mini Cooper shortly after 3pm in High Road.
Essex Police said: "Police and ambulance attended a minor collision between a Mini Cooper car and a schoolboy in High Road, Benfleet around 3.15pm. The boy was clipped by the car - he was shaken but injured."
Paramedics treated a boy under 16 at the scene for minor injuries before discharging him at the scene.
Traffic built up at High Road, near Boyce Green, with the road partially blocked and drivers were told to avoid the area.
Nobody else was injured.
