A MAN has been taken to hospital following a crash between a car and a motorbike.
Delaware Road, Shoebury, was blocked for about three hours at the junction with Saxon Gardens, near Thorpedene Primary School, after the car and motorbike collided at 5.40am.
East of England Ambulance Service were called and sent a rapid response vehicle and ambulance to the scene, where they treated the motorcyclist, who was in his thirties, for a suspected leg injury and complaints of chest pains before taking him to Southend Hospital.
The crash resulted in an oil spill and the incident was not cleared until about 8.35am.
