POLICE have urged dog owners to come forward with information after fears circulated online about further incidents of poisoned meat.
Last week, mum-of-two Nathalie Palmer revealed her family’s spaniel puppy had to be put down after eating poisoned chicken at Hadleigh Country Park.
Since then, the Essex Dog Watch group on Facebook has warned its members of further incidents in Southend and Rochford.
A post, claiming two further poisoned meat incidents in Southchurch Park, Southend, and Cherry Orchard Way, Rochford, has been shared by more than 2,300 people.
Essex Police insist they have received no reports of either incident and have asked anyone with information to get in touch with officers.
A force spokesman said: “If these incidents have occurred, it does not look like they have contacted us.
“Anyone with information is asked to give us a call on 101.”
