TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a pub.
The duo were arrested after officers were called to reports of a break in at the Boars Head in Billericay Road, Herongate, at just after 4.30am.
The suspects were believed to be in the cellar.
Pc Dave Bridge and police dog Diesel were first on the scene and found a Ford Transit van parked near to the side of the pub with its side door open.
PC Bridge blocked the door and Diesel went inside the building.
A 30-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
A number of bottles of alcohol were found in the yard outside.
A 24-year-old from Tilbury, was arrested by other officers at 4.50am on the A128 Brentwood Road, also on suspicion of burglary.
