A BURNT lorry blocked the A130 northbound for two hours this afternoon.
The carriageway was closed between the Sadlers Farm junction with the A13, and the Fairglen Interchange with the A127 and A1245, from around 2.30pm due to the burning lorry.
Police and firefighters attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Police are currently at the scene of a lorry fire on the northbound carriageway of the A130, just past Sadlers Farm.
"Police and the Fire service were called shortly after 2.30pm.
"One lane is closed of the northbound carriageway."
Three fire crews used one hose reel, foam and wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze by 3.15pm.
The southbound carriageway had been blocked temporarily after the fire broke out, thought to be some time after 2.30pm, but reopened after the blaze had been extinguished.
The road has now been cleared and the northbound carriageway is also open.
