PUPILS across Basildon made colourful hats celebrating spring for Easter bonnet parades.
Millhouse Infant School, in Tavistock Road, Laindon, and Cherry Tree Primary School, in Church Road, Basildon, were among schools holding parades ahead of the holiday.
Chicks, bunnies, eggs and lambs were among the traditional motifs adorning the homemade headwear.
But some pupils got creative, with an Angry Birds-themed hat and a Humpty Dumpty bonnet among the more inventive bonnets.
