A NURSERY which has been praised by inspectors has undergone a revamp in a bid to become rated even better.
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery, in Chapel Street, Billericay, was given a rating of good by Ofsted last year.
The centre has since undergone a £50,000 refurbishment in response to recommendations made by inspectors.
Manager Sophie Hadkiss said: “‘We have spent a vast amount of money to further improve the nursery and the quality of care we provide for children and their families.
After just missing out on an ‘outstanding’ grade, we have enhanced the nursery to exceed Ofsted report recommendations.”
The money has been spent on decorating and buying new equipment. The nursery has about 80 children on its roll.
It is holding an open day on June 6, from 10.30am until 1.30pm, for parents to visit, meet staff and ask questions.
