VISITORS to Festival Leisure Park are being asked to dig deep and donate to a dog charity.
Bosses at Festival Leisure in Basildon have chosen to support Dogs Trust Basildon for a year.
Matthew Chambers, centre manager at Festival Leisure Park, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting such a great charity in our local community this year.
"Dogs Trust are a brilliant organisation with their hard work widely recognised through Basildon and beyond, and we hope all our visitors can help us support them when they visit us.”
Drop off points have been set up around the park and visitors can now support the rehoming centre in Wickford when visiting Festival Leisure Park by donating their spare change or dropping off essentials such as dry food, tinned food and treats.
Maria Wickes, Dogs Trust Basildon Rehoming Centre Manager, said: “We’re so grateful to Festival Leisure for installing the collection bins, on behalf of the 150 dogs currently at Dogs Trust Basildon we’d like to say a huge thank you.
“Whether donating a pound or dropping in a blanket or toy, this all goes to help continue the care of the homeless hounds looking for their new homes.”
