Who on earth thought of the brilliant idea of a two-weekly rubbish collection? I say they must be brain dead.

In this day and age with all this contamination in the hospitals through superbugs, isn't this a way to increase all these problems?

The smell alone will be bad enough and where are these bags going until the dustmen call?

Maggots and flies are health hazards, not to mention rats, and Canvey has these already. How much worse will it be when two-weekly pick ups start?

To get more recycling done give out more bags that are biodegradable. If this two-week pick up goes through, we as a nation are not going forward, we are going back to the early 18th century.

We already have people peeing in the streets, dogs mess in our roads. Just think about it, or read history books about what life was like then.

We should be showing the way forward, but instead we have heard the councils are thinking of charging us for collections and we are going backwards. Soon we shall be classed as a third world country, no longer Great Britain.
