MORE than 30kg of hydrochloric acid covered a road on the Burnt Mills Industrial Estate in Basildon.
Two fire crews will stay on site and assist the cleaning team.
Four firecrews were called to Harvey Road on the Burnt Mills Industrial Estate today at 11.50am.
The incident commander says the lorry contains 32 jerry cans, each can contains 29kg of hydrochloric acid.
Around 30kg of hydrochloric acid has been spilt on the road.
Police set up a 100m exclusion zone. Firefighters have now finished clearing the scene and a specialist cleaning team are on the scene.
