I say Ric Morgan for Southend president.
The newly-elected Lib Dem candidate, who defeated Tory leader Murray Foster, has his lug-ole to the ground - he was an Echo columnist and once a teacher of minds on Canvey. Bravery enough.
He rambled on as required as a shock jock on an Essex radio station.
Damn it, he even produces the Southend Mencap newsletter and much more. Not that I support his political beliefs, mind you.
I detest the mealy-mouthed liberal factions that would have us eating soya. I am a beef man through and through, and smoke, drink, laugh, and fart if I feel like it.
However, Ric will be breath of fresh air to this stagnating town given a chance.
