COMMUTERS are facing long delays on the rail network this morning as services are terminated before London Fenchurch Street.

A failure in the electricity supply between Fenchurch Street and Barking meant all trains were terminating at Upminster.

Passengers were being advised to use the District line underground service to get into central London, however a power failure between Barking and Upminster is causing delays to tube services too.

c2c has advised on its website that their tickets will be accepted on Abellio Greater Anglia services, as well as London Underground and London buses, as commuters attempt to get to work on time.

The line has now reopened but 14 c2c services are currently cancelled and disruption will last for several hours more as trains and drivers get back to the right place.

The disruption also came when overrunning engineering works meant trains were already delayed or cancelled between Shoebury and Fenchurch Street this morning.
