A LAW firm has vowed to donate money to a charity next month in support of Dementia Awareness Week.
Palmers Solicitors, which has offices in Basildon, Thurrock and South Woodham Ferrers, will raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society between Friday May15 and Saturday May 21.
It will gift £25 each time it creates a Power of Attorney – a legal documents enabling the firm to deal with a person’s affairs if they are ill.
Law firm partner Lee McClellan, said: “I have a personal reason for supporting Alzheimer’s Society as both my paternal grandparents suffered from
Alzheimer’s before they died.
“I know how valuable the work of the Alzheimer’s Society is and all members of the department here are signed up Dementia Friends.”
