TRAIN services in Essex are suffering from major disruption due to an emergency incident.
The incident, between Stratford and Romford, has caused major disruption on the Greater Anglia mainline.
British Transport Police has confirmed it was called to Chadwell Heath station at 1.20pm to reports of a person being hit by a train.
A BTP spokesman said: "Officers attended but the person sadly died at the scene.
"We are now working to identify them and their next of kin."
Initially, it meant no trains are currently able to run between London Liverpool Street and Essex, affecting routes to and from Southend Victoria, Colchester, Clacton, Braintree and Southminster.
