MORE than 200 youngsters enjoyed a jamboree event in Hockley.
The children from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts talked with other scout groups around the world using amateur radio and the internet.
There were also technical workshops, computer games and some activities on offer at Beauchamps Scouts Activity Centre over the weekend.
By communicating with and finding out about other groups around the world, the scouts were working towards their communication badge.
Valerie Holman, Beaver Scout leader, said: "They all seemed to have a great time.
"Throughout the weekend we had about 200 people attend which was great.
"We are really pleased by how well it went, although it was a bit manic at times."
