A superbly talented group of solo musicians will be performing at the Plaza Centre in Southend tomorrow night.
Southend Council's ever-popular Concert Series is pleased to welcome Counterpoise for the first concert of 2017.
Tomorrow, four superbly talented solo artists with international careers will be performing at the Plaza Centre, Southchurch Road from 8pm.
In their first visit to Southend, Fenella Humphreys, Deborah Calland, Kyle Horch and Iain Farrington will be joined by the Scottish born international opera singer and narrator Donald Maxwell in this exciting concert as they perform music by Britten, Copland, Piazzolla, Gershwin, Dizzy Gillespie and more.
Counterpoise performs widely at major music festivals around the UK including London’s concert halls with their programme of performance catering for many tastes. This performance will also include all of the performers in solo and ensemble numbers.
Ann Holland, councillor for Culture, Tourism and the Economy said: “Southend Council has brought this series of professional chamber music concerts, with outstanding talented musicians and international careers, to Southend’s audiences to enjoy for over twenty years.
“As we move into 2017 I hope the residents and visitors of Southend continue to enjoy these amazing performers for many more years to come.”
Tickets are on sale now, priced £10 (£9 concessions) with tickets of £8 and £7 for members of the Southend Council Concert Club.
