THE Minister of State for Housing was welcomed to the Port of Tilbury to see the the impact of its major investment programme.
Gavin Barwell met with Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price and the port’s chief executive Charles Hammond for a tour of the site and briefing about its £1billion programme which includes the creation of a 152acre deep-water port facility, Tilbury 2. He was also updated on the construction of the UK’s largest warehouse for Amazon.
