HOSPITALITY and Catering students from South Essex College took part in a Chef and Serve competition.
Professional cookery and hospitality services students from the Southend and Thurrock campuses had to form teams and then design, cook and serve a three-course menu to guest judges in the college’s Waves restaurant.
Southend winners Joshua Benee, Connor Sheehan and Pawel Kacica created a menu based around colours.
Joshua, 17, from Rayleigh, said: “It felt great to win, we were quietly confident as we made a competitive team who have passion for our craft, so we all wanted to get top marks.”
