A MAN has been shot and killed and a woman has been left in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed multiple times.
Detectives have launched a murder investigation.
Police were called by the ambulance service at 9.45pm yesterday, Sunday April 16, with reports a man had been shot and a woman had been stabbed in Cranfield Park Avenue, Wickford.
Both were taken to hospital but sadly the 45-year-old man died.
The 35-year-old woman suffered multiple stab wounds and is in a serious but stable condition.
Enquiries are ongoing.
