A TALENTED seven-year-old is on the road to stardom after landing a role in a children’s TV show.

Peyton Jowers is the voice of an adorable blue penguin in cartoon Wissper. It tells the story of a schoolgirl who can speak to animals.

A new range of toys related to the programme has just been released – with Peyton’s voice used in a talking version of Peggy the penguin.

The youngster is no stranger to the acting world, having previously appeared in a British Airways advert. She has also just finished work on a new film, As You Like It.

Proud mum Dominique, 28, from Eastwood, said: “She has been doing voice overs since she was three. She has been taking musical theatre classes since she was really little and she just loves it.

“Her friends think what she does is very cool.

“The toy was in the shop on the weekend and when she saw it, she said ‘mummy, it’s me.’

“We got her an agent when she was younger – you could just tell she was special. She was always so confident and all the work she has done has really built up her confidence more.

“She loves it, if she doesn’t have any auditions for a little while, she is always asking when the next one is.”

Peyton takes classes nearly every day of the week – including for singing, dancing and drama.

Mrs Jowers added: “It is always her choice and she loves it. But she does kid stuff as well, it isn’t just about auditions and shows.

“She has had such amazing opportunities at a young age – it is really amazing.

“When I see her smile, she is so proud of herself being on TV. She is very humble though, she doesn’t show off and only tells people about what she does if she is asked.”

Peyton, a pupils at Eastwood Primary School, wants a career in TV or musical theatre – with her dream role being Matilda.

Her mum added: “She watches Wissper herself as well, she loves it and makes me pause when her name comes on the credits.

“I let her buy one toy after every job and the rest goes into a savings account for when she is older – it will be for her education or whatever she needs.

“This time, she has asked for a pink house and a unicorn.”

Peyton has a little sister – but she is unlikely to follow in her footsteps. Mrs Jowers added: “I have a three-year-old daughter called Harper, who is the complete opposite. I don’t think she would ever be interested in being on TV, she is much more boisterous – I think she will be a footballer.”
