Children and elderly care home residents took part in a special walk to help raise money for a children’s charity.
Child minder Maria Atkinson took a small group of children from her nursery to visit Admiral Court Care Home, in Manchester Drive, Leigh.
Together the residents and the children took part in the Muddy Puddle Walk to help raise money for Save the Children.
The group walked from the care home to the Manchester Drive allotments together.
Maria said: “We regularly take our children to the care home and the effect on both the children and the residents is incredible.
“Positive relationships have been formed between the residents with dementia and the children to the point where some recognise the children.”
