JUNIOR athletes took part in their school sports day.
King Edmund School, in Vaughan Close, Rochford, held its in annual sports day at Garons Park sports ground last week.
The day involved track and field events, with staff and staff who supporting their teams from the sidelines. The House cup was won by Vikings with 460 points. In a close competition, Saxons came second with 448 points and Romans with 434.
Students from all year groups except Year 11, because they have left, were involved.
Ryan and Holly Holdich, Vikings house captains, were awarded the winners’ cup, while Alfie Crosby, in Year Nine, won the long jump and Year Seven Olivia King won the 1,500m.
