Two men have been sentenced to a total of 28 months in prison for offences relating to a burglary.
The burglary took place in the early hours of Monday, January 23 at a house in Thrift Green, Brentwood. Mobile phones, a tablet, wallet and bank cards were stolen.
The bank cards were used in various locations in the early hours of the morning of January 23 at the Brentwood Connect service station, McDonalds in Southend and the BP Garage in Basildon.
Ricky Pearce, 26, of Great Knightleys in Basildon, appeared at Basildon Crown Court on July 18 and received an 18 month prison sentence for burglary offences and a further nine months for two counts of fraud by false representation, having pleaded guilty to both offences.
Frankie Gavin, 28, of no fixed address also appeared at Basildon Crown Court on July 18 and was sentenced to 10 months in prison for handling stolen goods and a further one month for possession of Class B drugs, having also pleaded guilty to both offences.
Both men will serve their sentences concurrently.
