A 70-YEAR-OLD man from Shoebury has been arrested after police were called to an argument involving murder threats.
Officers were helped out to a yacht, moored in Tollesbury Marina, in the early hours of Monday morning, August 28, by crews from West Mersea RNLI.
There had been reports of an assault taking place on the boat, as well as threats to murder.
Police arrested a man, and the RNLI brought all parties back to shore at around 1.40am.
An Essex Police spokesman added: “Police were called to reports of an assault on a boat moored on the River Blackwater.
“A 70-year-old man from Shoebury was arrested on suspicion of assault.
“He has since been released without charge.”
