An author from Basildon has had her book nominated for the Eric Hoffer award in the United States.
Rose Griffin, was both surprised and delighted to be informed that she was a finalist with her young adult fiction book, ‘The Land of Twydell and the Dragon Egg’.
It is her second book in the ‘Tales of the Avalon’ series.
Rose said “I am over the moon! I’ve had some very good comments on Amazon.
“The books seem to be gathering a following and I am being asked when the fourth book in the series will be published. The answer is later this year.”
Rose will be taking part in A Storyteller’s Christmas with other local authors on November 18 at Leigh Methodist Church.
