A teenager has admitted causing a crash in Chelmsford, which resulted in the death of a 59 year-old moped driver.

The incident happened at around 10.45pm on Thursday, June 16 2016 on the Hatfield Peverel-bound track of the A138.

A Yamaha moped and white Vauxhall Corsa collided between the roundabout outside Toby Carvery and the Boreham Interchange.

The moped rider, David Crow, from Ingatestone, sadly died.

Marc Hensby, 19, of Spring Close, Little Baddow, who was driving the car, was arrested and then charged with causing death by careless driving.

Initially he had denied the charge and was due to stand trial later this month.

But he changed his plea at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, November 7 and is now due to be sentenced on November 21.
