Firefighters have put out a blaze in a restaurant kitchen.
When fire crews arrived they reported the fire at a restaurant in High Street, Rayleigh, had started in the extraction unit at 3.45pm.
Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the fire and stop it affecting the rest of the restaurant. The fire damage was limited to the extraction unit area.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 4.15pm.
The cause of the fire was found to be accidental. It's thought that the fire started in the extraction unit due to a build up of grease.
