POLICE are reminding people to secure their homes after a burglary took place overnight.
The raid took place at a home in Eagle Way, Shoebury on December 2 between 1am and 5am.
Shoebury residents have reported a spate of burglaries in the area of the Bird estate.
Police community support officers have been going door to door warning residents there had been three separate burglaries in three separate roads.
A spokesman for Essex Police said via the Essex Community Messaging system: “A dwelling burglary occurred in Eagle Way, Shoebury on Saturday December 2 between 1am and 5am.
“If you saw any suspicious activity at the time or have any information please call Essex Police on 101.
“Please consider the security of your gardens, sheds and outbuildings.
“There is often equipment which can be easily taken from within the curtilage of your property or implements which can assist entry into your homes.”
