BASILDON’S Rotary Club honoured one of its longest standing and most influential members by nominating him for a Paul Harris Fellowship.
A club can request Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognition to recognise either a Rotarian or non-Rotarian who, in its opinion, is worthy of this award.
Former president of the Basildon Rotary Club, David Holroyd was nominated by his fellow members and collected the award before Christmas.
A spokesman for the Rotary Club said: “We were delighted to honour David Holroyd with a Paul Harris Fellowship.
“David has been a long standing member of our club and works tirelessly behind the scenes.
“David is a past president and has been in the chair of all committees.
“He is our go-to person for all things rotary.
“Congratulations David and very well deserved.”
