The snow is causing delays at Southend Airport.
Planes leaving and arriving are both affected, thought to be due to snow on the run way.
A number of people say they are stuck waiting to depart.
A spokesman from Southend Airport said: "The airport is open and operating with some minor delays - we advise passengers to continue to check with their airline before travelling."
@essexlive @Essex_Echo @SouthendAirport @easyJet @YourSouthend 09:00 flight Southend to Alicante is still sitting on the tarmac with passengers still on board!

@flybe what’s the score with BE6321? Can understand the 90 min delay (revised 0825-0955) and then boarded at 0945 to sit onboard for an hour to be offloaded again due to @SouthendAirport apparently closed (pilots words not mine - even he said “apparently”). Crew were great though
