AMY Winehouse is still scheduled to perform at the V Festival this weekend, despite cancelling a string of gigs after reportedly collapsing from a drink and drugs binge last Wednesday.

At the time of going to press, the troubled soul singer was still due to perform on Saturday at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, although the 23-year-old has cancelled all appearances so far since then, including two Rolling Stones gigs in Germany earlier this week.

Famous as much for her love of late night partying as for her unique voice and songwriting talent, Amy was due to perform in support of the Stones but pulled out at the last minute.

Newly married, the waifer-thin starlet was rushed to hospital last Wednesday amid rumours of exhaustion, although it later emerged she had reportedly taken a cocktail of drugs including ecstasy and cocaine.

"At the moment she is still playing and we have not received an official statement about anything else from her management," said Julia Barratt from the V Festival press office.

IT has just been announced that current number one Robyn will be performing at the V Festival which kicks off this weekend at Hylands Park in Chelmsford.

The Swedish Songstress kicked Rhianna off the top spot last week, to the joy of many who were convinced she was responsible for the torrential rain suffered for weeks throughout the UK.

Luckily the skies have cleared (for now) in time for the festival this weekend where the Killers and Foo Fighters will both be headlining the main stage.

Bob Angus, festival organiser said: "I'm really pleased that Robyn is playing this year's V Festival. The addition of the current number one artist at this late stage really fulfils our aim of making the year's V festival the best yet."

Robyn gained global success with Show Me Love in 1997 but was unheard of until making her comeback with With Every Heartbeat that has whisked her to the top of the charts yet again.

Robyn replaces the Bravery on the Virgin Mobile Union stage on Sunday who have dropped out.
