A BRIDE-TO-BE is looking forward to comparing dresses when she shares her wedding day with the Royal couple.

At 3pm on Saturday, three hours after Prince Harry ties the knot with his American fiancée Meghan Markle, Tanya Stevens will be saying “I do” to her partner of 13 years, Craig Bush.

The couple have decided to embrace the clash of events and include Royal themes after Tanya was a little concerned at first.

Craig, 44, said: “We booked our wedding more than 18 months ago, long before Harry and Megan announced theirs.

“Initially Tanya was upset, mainly because she thought our family and friends would be more interested in Meghan’s dress than hers.

“But as it turns out we are really pleased, as the whole country is in a buoyant mood.”

Miss Stevens, who works for Basildon Council, will be watching the Royal wedding as she gets ready for hers.

Miss Stevens, who lives with Craig and their son Zach in Wellington Avenue, Westcliff, admits she’s been “madly obsessing” about what Meghan’s wedding dress will be like.

“I don’t want it to be the same as mine,” admitted the 45 year-old bride-to-be.

In line with the Royal theme of the day, the 120 guests at the wedding reception, Arlington Rooms, Leigh, will receive Royal souvenirs.

“Craig’s business is in printing, so we have a few things lined up for the guests that are royal-themed,” she said. “We’ve named our welcoming drinks after royals.

“Craig has ginger hair, so it’s a big joke for us he looks like Prince Harry.

“Like Harry, nobody else in his family has hair that colour.”
