Kelly Carruthers - double celebration
KELLY Carruthers, 18, had her cake and ate it when she celebrated her birthday and her results at the same time.
The student, from Basildon, was presented with a cake in the shape of an "A" by staff at South East Essex College, in Southend, and could not believe her luck.
She received two Bs in media studies and film studies and two Cs in English and business studies.
She hopes to study business studies at Anglia Ruskin university.
