Science student - Chris Brockington-Hill
Chris Brockington- Hill, 18, will be off to study at Cambridge after achieving a string of A grades.
The Rochford student worked diligently at Southend High School for Boys to obtain As in chemistry, geography, maths, physics and general studies.
"I want to go to Cambridge to study natural sciences at Churchill college," he said.
"I hope to do something science based as there's work available out there."
