FAMILIES enjoyed half term holiday crafting fun.

The event was held as part of a series of children’s events that have been organised at Leigh Community Centre surrounding the popular theme of Peter Rabbit and the world of the Beatrix Potter stories.

The series of events are being provided by Leigh Town Council.

At the crafting event, families and the children took part in an afternoon of Peter Rabbit themed arts and crafts at the community centre, with all proceeds being raised for The Art Ministry charity.

The charity works with a variety of children and adults with physical or learning disabilities.

The session was run as a drop-in with a whole host of activities to take part in. Children could decorate their own canvas bag as well as using a variety of materials.

The children had a great time learning about and trying out different crafting techniques.

There was plenty of colourful and entertaining fun to be had for all the visitors who were escaping the thundery and very wet weather during the school holiday.

The centre was decked out with lots of crafting materials for all the guests and families who attended the event.

All the children and families were so pleased with what they had made at the event.

There will be a range of other events during the week.
