A ROTARY Club has dug deep and donated more than £3,500 to a hospice based in Basildon.
Members of Wickford Rotary Club made a special visit to St Luke’s Hospice with a generous donation totalling £3,555.
The generous gift will now be used to buy a specialist bed for one of the bedrooms and chairs for visitors to use while in the in-patient unit.
The money was raised by the club’s various events.
A hospice spokesman said: “We are extremely grateful to and want to thank the club for it’s dedicated and loyal support.”
