STUDENTS joined showcased a variety of inventions.
Ford Dunton hosted the event with 150 students from schools across the area presented their creations.
The competition was organised by Primary Engineer, which aims to get more youngsters into engineering.
Chris Rochester, 42, regional director of the company, said: “It was superb and incredible.
“We had amazing event with champion children who showed off their work after engaging and working with ford engineers.
“It also showed the work of the teachers.”
Stephen Metcalfe, MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock, also attended.
