A STUDENT has raised more than £300 for charity with a music event.
Tom Johnson, 19, held Songs for Shelter at The Railway pub, Southend, to raise money for homeless charity HARP.
He raised £330 with five acts performing.
Tom said: “Homelessness is on the rise in Southend, so I thought with the spare time I have I could do something to help. We all got together and had a great night and made lots of money for HARP at the same time.”
