Outstanding teachers and students have been recognised at an annual awards ceremony.
Southend Adult Community College, Southchurch Centre, hosted its eighth celebration of achievement awards at the Park Inn Radisson Palace, Southend.
The event was held to congratulate 16 members across the facility on their hard work.
Sponsored by Southend Care, trophies were presented by the college’s principal, chairman, and dignitaries during the ceremony, which allowed friends and family to come together to celebrate fantastic exam results, personal achievements, and determination to study in spite of personal difficulties.
Principal Sue Hasty said: “Celebration of achievement is important this year as we are not only celebrating learners and staff achievement but also our decade of consistent good Ofsted results.
“We hope our achievement as a college as a whole raises our profile in the community and showcase what a good education provider we are. It is in sharing the challenges learners have had to overcome, that has made them more determined to succeed in their chosen courses that make this event so special.
“Hopefully others will be inspired to take up further learning or training through hearing about the success of the award winners. Everyone awarded should all be very proud of what they have achieved.”
