CONCERNS have been raised by fans after controversial changes were made to a production set to be performed in Southend.

The Greatest Showman is set to be performed six times at the end of August at the Cliffs Pavilion

But fans have taken to social media in anger after a host of changes to the performance.

Originally titled, The Greatest Show: Live, the performance is now under the banner The Greatest Show: Songs from Hollywood.

It will now only feature four songs from the film, and the circus element of the performance has been axed.

A host of songs from across Hollywood have been added, included hits from films such as Mamma Mia and Dirty Dancing.

On the Cliffs website, the updated description reads: "James Williams for Experience Theatre Ltd. presents THE GREATEST SHOW: SONGS FROM HOLLYWOOD The concert of the year…not to be missed!

"Unleash your passion to sing-a-long to famous songs from best-loved films, in this exciting concert celebration!
