TOMORROW night - Saturday July 28 - is party night and at the helm is special guest headliner Demuja, pumping up the dance floor of Sense at Annie's bar and bistro in Southend.

The Austrian DJ and producer takes the main spot at the event, which starts at 3pm until 3am with Sense Traxx trusted residents plus some new faces.

Demuja has been making waves in the underground house scene with releases on the likes of Toy Tonics, Freerange Records, Let's Play House and Madhouse Records.

The Echo catches up with him:

Q - Hi Demuja, for anyone reading who might be thinking of heading down to Sense Traxx on Saturday, how would you describe your sound and what they can expect from your set?

A - My sound is something between disco and house, and as it’s a day party on Saturday, will definitely be some good mood, soulful music... maybe some funk and afro as well, who knows?

Q - You must get to visit some really interesting places while on tour – is there anywhere unexpected which has really stood out?

A - It has been a really nice tour so far with lots of new places as well as some familiar places. So it’s the full tour that is standing out for me!

Q - Sense Traxx have been running really intimate parties in Southend for several years now, how did you first hear about the brand?

A - I know Simon (Sense Traxx’s owner) from some other projects we are working on together, and so of course I've heard about his Sense Traxx projects as well, and I liked them straight away.

Q - It’s festival season right now, do you prefer playing to those kind of larger crowds or are intimate venues more your style?

A - I like both, but a bit more smaller crowds. The energy is normally better and you can really feel the people.

Q - What three ingredients make the perfect party?

A - Wine, a nice (positive) crowd and of course good records.

Annie's bar and bistro is in Market Place, Southend, formerly on the site of the Sunrooms.
